'So, here it is...The first volume of the official Task Force archives. Music From The Corner is at least 10yrs old now and as a celebration we have gathered up some old unreleased gems for our very loyal fan base to listen to in its original lo-fi format. The tracks you will hear are all unfinished and have never been mastered, in fact they only exist as mp3s/wavs so you get them as we finished them all those years ago. One of the tracks date back to before Task Force was formed and features a very young Remus on the chorus. The rest are all tracks that were left over from our MFTC albums, for one reason or another. We really hope you enjoy these extracts of days that have long past and can perceive them as exactly that. This is not up to date material and should be heard as part of Task Force history! Much love goes out to all those in attendance on Friday night for the Remus mixtape launch, not only the general public for passing by and having a lot fun, but also the amount of artists inside the dance too! Back when the Suspect Packages Radio Show was broadcasting outta the Itch FM towers somewhere in North London, we had the mighty Taskforce & Braintax up inside the studio one Sunday evening. It was the 10th of December, year 2000, and Braintax had just released the 'Hardworking' 12". There were a few technical issues during the show with mics not working, and the recording of the show (straight to the tape you see in the picture) wasn't the best. However i've managed to record most of the session onto mp3 for ya, split into two halves, there's also a chance to hear the awesome 'Cosmic Gypsies' joint at the end... Enjoy this slice of 'original pirate material' straight from the Disorda archives.
More tape rips for ya, here the mighty Mud Famalam get busy on Kiss FM back in '97. Skinnyman, Chester P, Mongo & Intenz let rip for 7 minutes of mayhem, this was around the time the 'Mud Files EP' dropped on Jazz Fudge Recordings.
