Aspects 'Words' exclusive

Here's an exclusive entitled 'Words' that Bristol's Aspects recorded for the UK Hustlerz Vol.5 mixtape back in 1998. Bit of a dodgy recording tho as it came straight off the original master 'tape', but i think that's all part of the charm of this recording. Big up the full crew on this one...

Unreleased Universal Soldiers exclusive for Lewis Sterling/Disorda mixtape

Here's another from the Suspect Packages archives, lifted off the unreleased mixtape from myself and clothing label Lewis Sterling. It's an exclusive freestyle joint that Ricochet & Ultra aka Universal Soldiers put together for the release, you need to check for this crew, such a shame they are no longer recording though, they truly repped for the London streets. Peep their album 'Slanguage', and Ricochet aka Ric Branson's mix CD 'No Pressure', two dope releases for real... Anywayz, enjoy this slice of the mighty Uni Sols crew in their prime...

David J freestyle

"blank tape, that’s all I’m saying"…

Here's something very special for ya, I was holding it back but I can't wait no moe. It's one of my favourite freestyle sessions that I taped in the late ‘90s off DJ 279‘s ‘Friday Nite Flavours‘ radio show, if i'm honest, i've not heard anything come close to this aural assault since. I’ve been hunting this tape down for ages and I knew I wouldn’t have got rid of it, so I was well chuffed to discover it the other day and get it converted for ya...


The emcee in question is David J, who featured on the fifth Low Life Records release ‘The Whole Circumference’ by Psychic Phenomena in 1997. He’s not been on much since which is a huge shame as he’s one in a million, but I know he’s still active and dropping on more of a spoken word tip these days, which you can hear early styles of here.
I’m not gonna rant on too much as you just have to check this out for yourself. He takes a minute to warm up but lets off for a good 25 minutes, and actually says he‘s stopping 4 times, but keeps on. It’s even missing the very end of the freestyle as the tape ran out cause he went on so long! There’s still a good 22 minutes of it here though...

Check it, fresh from '98 and dusted off from the box of masters is an exclusive from my 'UK Hustlerz Vol.5' mixtape from the mighty Gunshot crew. They stepped up to the game here and delivered me a rocker that kicked off the tape in fine stylee... Let me know what you think anyway...

2001 Itch FM show with Jehst live in the studio

Stepping back in time to the old Itch FM pirate radio days, up in some empty tower block apartment come rain or shine, each and every Sunday between the hours of 6 and 8pm across London town. That's how the show started out from week one of Itch FM's first broadcast, and continued for 6 years straight. Big shout to my loyal listeners from these times, I know you're still checking the shows! 1L.

So, here we have one of these shows, from March 2001, lifted off the original tape used that day, remember tapes? I had the one like Jehst up inside the place... These we're the times I used to sing the intro to the show, now that's gangsta! And have to cut the swearing on tracks out live on air, jokes.
