Disorda set up Suspect Packages in 1996 to help gain valuable exposure for the UK’s Hip Hop scene. Still going strong in 2013 it incorporates a retail website, radio shows, club nights & more... The 'Suspect Packages Radio Show' has been broadcasting for 13 years. There's also the 'Dub Chronicles' show, a Roots, Reggae, Rocksteady, Ska, Dancehall, and Steppas kinda selekshun. On Kane FM 103.7 (kanefm.com)... The Suspect Packages online store retails UK Hip Hop vinyl, cd's, downloads, clothing labels, magazines, dvd's and more. Here ya go, one of my old Stone Love sound tapes digitized, it's a bit patchy as this tape has been rinsed to death over the years. Back to back Stone Love dubplates from around the mid 90's era, if I can find them there's plenty more where this came from. I grew up with this shit, proper soundclash business, Stone Love running tings and still going strong today, some 38 years on!
Lifted off Verb T's new album 'Serious Games', here's the video for 'Tearing The Sky Down', one of my favourite tracks with some hefty uptempo break beat action from producer Jon Phonics, featuring Fliptrix & Kashmere. The album is out now via YNR Productions...
My boy Sonny Jim does it again, ill spittage over a sick Illmind beat right here. Cop the free Eat Good Records download of 'Purple Patch pt.3', and watch for the full 4 part 'Purple Patch EP', plus all the instrumentals, dropping at the start of February to Suspect Packages...

Disorda, manager of Suspect Packages, relentless champion of the underground and possessor of a great record collection, takes the helm of Bonafide Beats with a little help from irrepressible host, Serocee. Popping a tin of Red Stripe, Disorda proceeds to break open a dusty crate of top ranking 80s and 90s dancehall vinyl and put together a set of riddim killers. Rarities and classics jostle together and capture the contradictory nature of the sound. Opening track Lone Ranger’s Badder Dan Dem sets the tone for a mix that has the vitality, the chaos, the bombastic, the political and the dark tinges of the genre.
Highlights include Don Carlos Lazer Beam, who in 2010 comes out sounding like the prototype for Diplo and Switch’s Major Lazer incarnation, Nardo Ranks’ Skin Out which a hypnotic ode to the fairer sex, Admiral Tibett’s soulful Leave People Business and Little Lenny’s Gun a Baggy, a track heavy both in tunage and the fact that it’s subject matter concerns the danger of STDs lurking in a girl’s panties (random factoid alert, this was apparently banned from Jamaican radio in 88).
So there we are, Bonafide Beats #08, a soundsystem guaranteed to shake the snow off the roof of your car.

This DVD documents a covert culture within British social history in which the audience will be viewing “exclusive footage” from the London Underground graffiti scene. This film is such an important film because it actually captures a point in time when graffiti, Subway Art, Vandalism on the London Underground was at one of its peaks in history from the millennium onwards, giving the viewer the opportunity to compare and relate the film to what’s going on around them today. This is done in order to recognize and document social fashions and changes that matter to the youth and working class of Britain and in order to have an accurate and honest social history.
Viewers will be seeing sequences of "Tube Runners", "Depot Footage" and "Action footage" as well as a "Christmas section". This exclusive footage has voiceovers from some of the scenes most prolific writers along with archive news footage, CCTV visuals and footage shot by the B.T.P in a Tube Depot. With a soundtrack by "Demon Boyz", "London Posse", "Hijack" and more this British Hip Hop DVD is visually compelling, informative and action packed from start to finish.
January and February 2007 three of London’s most dedicated and passionate graffiti writers from the East End and Essex sadly lost their lives on London Railways whilst creating their artwork and the second half of this DVD is a tribute to them and their tragically short lives. In this factual, access based documentary style film you will see exclusive, unseen footage of Bradley Chapman “Ozone”, Daniel Elgar “Wants”, and Paul Johnson “Wazu” along with other archive material...

Catch me in Birmingham on the 16th of December for the Louis Den Winter Beat Battle, i'll be on the judging panel alongside Mr Thing, Sarah Love, Soweto Kinch & Cipher Jewelz. Full details below... if you're entering this, don't be bringing any wack shit, you WILL be destroyed.
Louis Den Beat Cypher is back for the last event of 2010, our last beat cypher had producers Pete Cannon, Gifted Music, Mazzie and Ed Strong; we were joined with PA's from Sonnyjim & Kelakovski, Stig Of The Dump and The IRS. Our usual round by round / PA Beat Cyphers are done for 2010 and this time we're closing the year out with a very special Winter Beat Battle!
Louis Den Winter Beat Battle will pit 16 producers up against each other to show and prove who has the best bangers in the vaults and determine who will walk away with the £100 and £50 respective first and second place cash prizes we're putting up alongside dope threads courtesy of iller clothing (www.iller.cc)
To make sure only the heatmakers get through we've assembled an all star judging panel to take care of scrutinising the nights beats, deciding who go through on each round are..
Mr Thing (Extended Players/GMB) A vet in the game Mr Thing is a DMC Team Champion, part of the Extended Players outfit (along side DJ MK, Shortie Blitz and Harry Love) as well as an interntional DJ in his own right and producer. He dropped the classic Grown Man Business album with Yungun a few years back and has lent scratches/production duties to whole host of artists as well a string of dope mixes. Thing knows what sort of records will go off with a bang!
Sarah Love (BBC/MTV) Sarah knows her music, having headed up the 4 hour 1xtra M1x Show for her term in office at the BBC and her preseting duties at MTV topped with her various international DJ spots, she knows what will move a crowd and what could essensially become a dope song!.
Disorda (Suspect Packages) The hardest working man in UK Hiphop, Disorda heads up the online store Suspect Packages (in operation for almost 15 years!) and hosts the popular Suspect Radio as well as his monthly live events in London. He hasn't kept his online record store going by luck; having an intricate ear for music and knowing what will shift tied in with his DJ duties; Disorda can spot a banger from a dud easy!
Cipher Jewelz (MD7/Seven Entertainment) Cipher is a cornerstone of the Birmingham hiphop scene and has paved the way for a lot of artists doing their thing today. MC and producer for the brum outfit Moorish Delta 7, they've dropped 2 classic albums (The Power & The Glory, Life In The City); they've supported the likes of DJ Whoo Kid - G Unit, Wu Tang, Dilated Peoples, Mobb Deep, Foxy Brown, Big Daddy Kane, Beatnuts, Erick Sermon and DMX and many more as well as heading up their own label Seven Entertainment handling everything from art, music production, distriubtion and marketing. Cipher is a head in the know when it comes to music and will spot heat from a distance!
Soweto Kinch (Soweto Kinch Productions) World renouned Jazz musician, composer, emcee and producer Soweto kicked off the beat cypher over 2 years ago back in October 2008 (along side Kelakovski, Mr Dick and Jehst). More recently he's not long launched his 3rd full length album "New Emancipation" on his own imprint and would have just come off tour to join the judging panel, with bangers in stock Soweto could himself enter this!! but he's been gracious enough to join the judging lineup to help decide the winners!.
As if this wasn't enough we're also letting guest DJ's SARAH LOVE (BBC 1Xtra, MTV) and MR THING (Extended Playes, DMC Champ) bless the decks with exclusive sets, Sarah will be hitting us off with the latest hiphop bangers whilst Mr Thing will drop an exclusive breaks mix filled with plenty of secret treats!
The EATGOOD team will also be showing off some of their Q4 2010 / 2011 material so expect a few new tracks from Sonnyjim, Redbeard and RTKal.
I WANT IN!! - HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE BEAT BATTLE Head over to http://louisden.com/battle to register for the battle; if there are more than 16 sign ups this DOES NOT guarantee you a place in the event but it does let us know you are interested, we will then dray 16 names out of a hat on the night to determine who will be in place for the battle.
Battle Format Producers will need to come to the event with their beat CD's ready; have at least 10 tracks covering a range of styles (within the hiphop genre) which you'll play x2 of per opponent (in a knockout format), winning beats will be decided by our allstar judging panel consisting of MR THING, SARAH LOVE, DISORDA and CIPHER JEWELS.
RULES * Beats must come on CDR (no phones/usb/ipods) * Beats CANNOT be played on your behalf; If you register you must turn up on the night to be in with a chance * Producers will be drawn at around 10PM on the night of the event, if you fail to acknowledge your presence we will move on and draw another name!
The nights action will be hosted by Kosyne, Redbeard & Sonnyjim with DJ CRO as the resident DJ providing music other than our guest DJ's
We look forward to seeing you there and close this years louis den action with a BANG!
Here's a very dope documentary on the life of pirate radio and its future, by ex-Itch FM DJ The Furious, big up sir! Gotta give a shout to all my fellow Itch FM deejays for holding it down for so long too, I was lucky enough to be one of the first on the station and remained there for 8 years... My Suspect Packages Radio Show, as I hope you all know, is still running...
‘Stay Sailing’, directed by Michael Chandler, looks at pirate radio, warts and all, providing a unique insight into this underworld phenomena. The film features exclusive interviews with DJs and managers, from Passion, Rinse, Origin, Kiss, Itch and many more – as well as some of the pirate scene’s biggest names, such as DJ MK (now on Kiss) and Flight (previously on BBC’s 1Xtra). The film also gained exclusive access to some of the studios, locations and rooftops as pirates scaled a West London tower block at night to put up their rigs. Pirates have been integral to the UK’s music scene, but also provide a hub for communities, opportunities for the excluded, and something positive for street youth to do – but they are illegal. They regularly fight the law, and keep coming back. This is the story of Pirates as they face their toughest challenge yet - the digital age. Will it kill FM? Will pirates be able to keep sailing the airwaves, or are they dead in the water? Directed by Michael Chandler, ex-pirate DJ The Furious Produced by Hazel Chandler

In his words - 'As far as I am concerned, this is ART, nothing more, nothing less. Do not be shocked by what you see and please do not over exaggerate the content and attempt to deem it "evil" or "demonic". In fact, it's the opposite, it's about taking out the evil which exists'.
Sad news that the cool ruler Gregory Isaacs has died from a long battle with lung cancer. I grew up with his music in my life, and was only playing his 'Extra Classic' album last week... Here's a great tribute from Lotek & 1/6.
